Mr. Coleman studied civil engineering at the University of Alabama, and subsequently graduated with honors from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1963. He has practiced Architecture in Atlanta, New Orleans and Florida since 1968. Jim Coleman was certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards in 1967, and therefore recommended to all registration authorities for registration or license as an Architect. He is also a licensed Threshold Inspector. Mr. Coleman has developed extensive expertise in the design of high-rise condominiums.

on the seven-story 66-unit Shearwater Beach Club Motel in Panama City Beach, Florida. This project was partially similar to the five-story 75-unit Osprey Motel in Panama City Beach, Florida,
Designed by Jim Coleman 10 years ago for the same client.
Jim Coleman has recently finished design work on the three-story 38-unit Sandpiper Cove villas in Destin, Florida. This project was partially similar to the two
story 30-unit Gulf Aire Townhomes in Mexico Beach, Florida, designed by Mr. Coleman ten years ago. Sago Sands condominium was recently designed by Mr. Coleman and constructed in Seagrove
Beach, Florida which included eight gulf-front units in a four-story building, and two three-story condominiums.
On Panama City Beach, Florida, Jim Coleman was Project Architect on the Panama City Beach, City Hall renovations. He was also project architect for the new Panama
City Beach Community Center.
Additionally, Mr. Coleman was architect on the Florida State University (FSU) Branch campus built in Panama City. Jim Coleman was architect for the Skyboxes at the
FSU Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.
Mr. Coleman designed the hospital for the State of Florida at the Sunland Training Center, constructed in Marianna, Florida. Jim Coleman was architect for the
Vanguard School classroom building in Lake Wales, Florida. Mr. Coleman worked as architect on several school projects in New Orleans and other Parishes in Louisiana. Jim Coleman designed the
Panama City Rescue Mission built in Panama City, Florida.
Jim Coleman has been the recipient of several, American Institute of Architects (AIA), awards for design excellence. He is now practicing Architecture in Seagrove
Beach, Florida.
